A day in the sun. Another successful 'Fun Day'organised by Adactus and residents from the Queens Parade Tenants' & Residents' Association. The event had a 'getting active' theme with locals enjoying activities such as badmington, football and giant board games. A bouncy castle was also available. The event was supported by a Manchester City Council Neighbours' Day Grant.

Bootle based community group, The Klondyke Street Reps, have been recognised at this year’s Sefton Housing Market Renewal Community Champions Awards, winning an award for ‘Promoting Community Services’ through their newly established Community Directory. The Klondyke Street Reps and the BReathe+ Consortium have been working together to produce the Community Directory which was launched with a community event to coincide with European Good Neighbours Day.

As part of Manchester City Council's "neighbours day" Adactus helped local residents in Collyhurst organise and take part in this successful event to improve the look of St. George's Community Centre. Green fingered locals worked on revitalising some of the flower beds and took part in the Adactus hosted workshops on growing your own plants and vegetables.

Homefront DIY courses. Adactus Housing Association aims to help local residents improve their confidence in DIY and be able to make small improvements in their homes. The Association is running DIY courses for residents in Ancoats, Miles Platting and Collyhurst. The 'Homefront' project will include courses on painting and decorating, joinery, plumbing as well as Health & Safety.

Alleyway gets a bright summer look. Adactus Housing Association staff worked with the Beckett & Bragenham Residents' Association to transform the alleyway between Beckett Street and Bragenham Street. The transformation which included fitting numerous hanging baskets and benches, has been funded through a grant the residents' association secured with Adactus's help from The Manchester City Council.
