Making a funeral more personal

The choice of funeral is highly personal. It should reflect your wishes and those of the person who has died.

A unique tribute
Some people want a traditional funeral, with a 'minimum of fuss'. Some prefer a more elaborate funeral. Others prefer an 'alternative' funeral, such as a woodland burial or scattering of ashes at sea. Just as each life is unique, each funeral is a unique tribute, not just marking a death, but remembering a life.

Remembering a life
There are many different ways a funeral can mark the individuality of the person who has died. For example in the decoration of the coffin or casket, the type of service held, the eulogy, the choice of music or poetry, where ashes are scattered, the catering after the service, the choice of flowers, the obituary and so on. Some people like to give a Eulogy at the funeral service to pay tribute to the life of their loved one.
