What to do when someone dies - the role of your funeral director
Your Funeral Director
You can contact your local Co-operative Funeralcare Funeral Director at any time of the day or night by phone, or in person every day of the year. You can find your local Co-operative Funeralcare Funeral Home by using our funeral director search tool at the top of each page on this site. Alternatively, you will find us in the Yellow Pages, or in the classified section of your local paper.
Personal details
When you contact your local funeral director, they will ask for some personal details relating to the person who has died.

Where to meet
Thereafter, they will arrange a suitable time to visit you. Alternatively, you can meet at the funeral directors or somewhere else, such as a friend's house or a solicitor's office.
Helping with arrangements
When you meet the funeral director, they will be able to advise you and take care of all the necessary funeral arrangements. They will also explain, in detail, the procedure for registering the death.
