Garden Waste

Garden Waste can also be collected from your kerbside once a fortnight if it's in special Carrick blue sacks. You can buy just one or a roll of ten for the same price of 52p each from most village stores.

The price of the bag covers the cost of collection staff, vehicles and paying a local farmer to compost it into soil conditioner for his fields.

What can I put into a Carrick blue sack?

To find out collection dates for your green waste
Email: Recycling@carrick.gov.uk
or ring 01872 224379

Garden Waste can be taken free of charge at United Mines, St Day Recycling and Household Waste Centre
