Garden Waste
|
Recycling & Household Waste Centre (CA Site)
Garden Waste can also be collected from your kerbside once a fortnight if it's in special Carrick blue sacks. You can buy just one or a roll of ten for the same price of 52p each from most village stores.
The price of the bag covers the cost of collection staff, vehicles and paying a local farmer to compost it into soil conditioner for his fields.
What can I put into a Carrick blue sack?
-
Lawn mowings
-
Hedge trimmings
-
Light Prunings
-
Leaves
-
Weeds (except Japanese Knotweed because it is illegal to transport this)
-
End-of-season vegetable and flower plants
