Recycle for Cornwall
The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.
North Cornwall
Garden Waste
North Cornwall District Council rolled out a new fortnightly collection service for North Cornwall towns in April 2005. Green waste collected from Bodmin, Bude, Camelford, Launceston, Padstow and Wadebridge will be used for on-farm composting.
North Cornwall green waste collection vehicles will pick up garden waste sacks on the same day as your normal household recycling collection. Special Biodegradable garden sacks are on sale priced at 50p each or £10 for 25. Bags can be purchased from suppliers listed here .
Garden Waste collected includes: Grass cuttings, Leaves, Twigs, Weeds, Hedge Trimmings, Plants, Flowers and Sawdust.
If you do not live in a collection area we recommended that you compost your green waste at home. To find out more about home composting and how to get a compost bin delivered to your door for just £4 select this link.
Garden Waste can also be taken free of charge to Recycling and Household Waste Centres.
