Garden Waste

In recent years, Penwith District Council has provided Green Waste Skips for the collection of garden waste for composting. For a variety of reasons, this system proved to be unsuccessful so a new service is being trialed.

The Green Waste skips have been replaced with a Pilot Kerbside Collection of Garden Waste. Trial collections were run this year and a number of small areas in each town in Penwith were included to try to get an accurate view on how things would work and how the public responded to the new scheme. There has been a lot of positive feedback from the public.

Garden waste can be taken free of charge to St. Erth, Hayle Recycling and Household Waste Centre.
