  Making Paper

Why make paper?

Recycled paper is paper made from existing paper instead of pulp from trees. Using recycled paper can help save trees, but it also helps to protect the planet in other ways.

It saves energy, as making recycled paper uses only half to two thirds of the energy used to make new paper.

It reduces the amount of air and water pollution caused by the papermaking process.

It also cuts down the amount of space needed to bury, waste and benefits wildlife as it causes less disturbance and damage to the environment.

Making it is also fun!!
