The Recycle for Cornwall campaign has been developed to raise public awareness of recycling and to provide consumers with a compelling reason to recycle.

Reduce:
When you buy, buy local, and buy with as little packaging as possible. If you’re offered a bag, only take it if you need it. Local produce tends to have less plastic packaging; and puts more money back into the local economy, which is really important to keep our communities vibrant and diverse. Buy freshly made local pasties in a paper bag, or nothing – rather than a plastic wrapped mass-produced one. And then taste the difference! A triple whammy!
Reuse:
Reuse your own belongings on holiday – don’t buy new bottles of water every day – use one and refill it to go to the beach, or walking; reuse carrier bags; take packed lunches in reusable containers rather than wrapped in polythene, or foil. You’ll also save yourself money…
Recycle:
If there’s a recycling bin, or bag, or box – make a point of using it.
The more you help us get rubbish off the beaches, off the streets, and out of the landfill, the more we can recycle. This means that more jobs are created and the more you will be able to enjoy the fantastic, clean natural environment down here! One campsite finds more than 70% of the visitors recycle – so by joining in, you’re in with the majority!
