Finding out about recycling

School and Group visits to the Recycling and Waste Education Centres.

If you are interested to see what happens to the items you recycle you can visit the Education Centres in Cornwall .

There are two Education Centres; one in Bodmin * (covering North Cornwall , Caradon and Restormel recycling collections) and one in Truro (covering Carrick recycling collections) where pre-booked visits can be made by schools, colleges and community groups etc.

A visit to an Education Centre can include:

• A guided tour around the recycling facilities
• A chance to find out what, how and when you can recycle in the area you live
• A chance to learn what can be made from recycled materials
• Questions and answer sessions
• Fun activities for children's groups

The Waste Education Centre in Carrick can also be used as a conference/meeting room. It can hold up to forty people and is available with all the necessary equipment to give presentations etc.

To find out more information and to book a visit please contact the relevant centre.

* Please note the Recycling Education Centre in Bodmin is currently closed for refurbishment. It will re-open for visits in the near future.
